I am Mark Herbert, a.k.a. Frogman. New Hampshire has been my home since 1979 when I graduated from the University of Vermont with a degree in forestry. For 25 years I lived and worked in the Wolfeboro area. I have since returned to my childhood stomping ground on Stinson Lake in Rumney. I'm often asked about the name Frog Hollow Forestry. My stock answer? "It's a state of mind" or "It came about as the result of a cosmic revelation". The honest answer is that Frog Hollow is the name of a swamp in Wolfeboro........sorry.
I am a proud member of the New Hampshire Timberland Owners Association, the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests, the American Chestnut Foundation, and the Appalachian Mountain Club.
